One of the most important factors in home insulation is R-value. It measures how much heat loss or heat transfer the product can resist. Homes in Mountlake Terrace will benefit from using products with high R-values.

The laws of Physics tell us: heat naturally moves from warmer areas to cooler ones. This is why the attic and basement tend to be warmer than other rooms, and it explains how you can lose heat outside during summer.

Improving your insulation will reduce the transfer of heat, making your home more comfortable and saving on energy bills.

One of our energy audidents will visit your home and work to check how much energy a house consumes by sucking air from rooms using a powerful fan. Results of the test help us determine which spaces in your house leak more or less.

Batts and rolls insulation

Batt insulation is usually made out of rock wool, recycled paper, cellulose, or fiberglass. It comes in different R-values and can be a very economical type of insulation material.

It's important to properly handle certain materials for things like fiberglass, as they can cause skin irritation and other health problems. It's also important to correctly install insulation items like batt insulation, as it could lose up to 50% of its efficiency if not handled properly.

Blown-in insulation

A type of insulated glass product, insulation glass consists of insulation materials like recycled material, cellulose, fiberglass, or rock wool that are blown into the space between two panes of glass. The process is named in reference to the blowing technique applied to these materials.

This insulation product can be installed in many different spaces in your home, such as wall cavities, inaccessible areas, and unfinished attics. Our expert technicians are fully trained and will make sure everything is installed properly.

Rigid board insulation

We carry two types of insulation, the first being rock wool or fiberglass. It is great for constructing new buildings, modifying unfinished walls or putting up a new roof. It can also be molded around the ducts and pipes in your home. Give us a call today for your free quote on rigid board insulation.

Spray foam insulation

This is the best type of insulation for your home. Our spray foam will provide a barrier that protects you from cold and heat, while also saving you money on your heating and cooling bills.

Thermal insulation products, such as spray foam, often have the highest R-values in terms of energy efficiency. They're typically made up of two materials that would've been mixed together, heated, and sprayed before it's used.

This totally bio-safe foam will expand to create a great seal and insulation. It can be used as a spacer between joists and studs, and even between existing walls for more insulation.

We always advise our clients to choose spray foam insulation as the best method to make their homes more energy-efficient, comfortable, and cost-effective.

Although it may be more expensive to install than other insulation techniques, spray foam can pay for itself in less than three years. By saving on your heating and cooling bills, you could save more than 40% each month.
